The host hotel will be the Ritz-Carlton–Atlanta. To secure our special conference rate, enter the COLPM group code: CLBCLBA. The discounted conference rate of $189/night is available for reservations made by September 30. Subject to limited availability, and for reservations made by September 30, you may be able to secure the discount for lodging needs up to three days before or after the conference dates. If you prefer to make your reservation by phone, call the Ritz-Carlton Call Center at 800.241.3333; be sure to tell them you’re with the “College of Law” group to secure the conference rate. Valet service at the hotel is $18 for daily parking and $38 per day for overnight parking.

A word of caution: Be sure to reserve your room at the downtown Atlanta property and not at the Buckhead property.

Ground Transportation

Base cab fares from the airport to the downtown area are approximately $30 plus a $1.50 airport surcharge and gratuity. The pick-up area for taxis is on the upper floors. Uber and Lyft also service the Atlanta area if you have the app downloaded to your phone. The pick-up area for Uber and Lyft is on the bottom floor.

It’s about a 20-minute train ride from the airport. There’s a MARTA station conveniently located just a two-minute walk from the law school. Check the MARTA website to select fares and schedules that work best for you.

The distance between The Ritz-Carlton–Atlanta and Georgia State University College of Law is an easy three-minute walk (0.1 mile).

Parking

If you drive to the conference site, visitor parking is available, on a limited basis, Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., in all University parking decks. The T deck is the most favorable. Daily parking fees are $7 (per entry basis); there are no in-and-out privileges and no overnight parking is permitted. For your convenience, you may prepay your parking fees during the early bird registration process; you will then receive a voucher in your on-site registration packet to submit when you exit the parking facility. (Prepayment of fees increases, but does not guarantee, the likelihood you’ll be able to secure parking at the T deck.) No refunds for parking fees are permitted after September 30. Georgia State University and COLPM assume no responsibility for vehicles or protection of any vehicle or its contents at any time. Valuable contents should be stored out of sight.

Disability parking locations on-campus is only for drivers with state-issued disability license plates or state-issued disability placards. Individuals with either identification may park in any unoccupied “disability parking” space on-campus. The standard parking rates apply for all parking spaces including disability spaces. Drivers with temporary impairments that limit their mobility cannot be granted access to legally designated “disability parking” spaces on-campus. Please direct any questions regarding disability parking or temporary (health reasons) parking at the University to Auxiliary and Support Services at 404.413.9500.

As noted the hotel section, above, valet parking at The Ritz-Carlton–Atlanta is $38 per day.
